About Me

Gloria Atoyebi is a percussionist, audio engineer, and music arranger. Based in Edmond, Oklahoma, she holds a Bachelor of Musical Arts with a Minor in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma (OU). Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Music Technology with an emphasis in Game Audio and Film Music (MMMT) at Southern Utah University (SUU). As a student at OU, she was a member of the Wind Symphony, OU Steel Band, OU Brazilian Ensemble, and The Pride of Oklahoma. Gloria studied under Dr. Andrew Richardson and Dr. Ben Holmes at OU and Kit Chatham at SUU.
Gloria has performed with diverse groups, including the El Reno Community Theatre, Resistance Indoor Percussion, the OKC Thunder Drummers, and the Oklahoma Chamber Symphony. She also creates and arranges video game music transcriptions for percussion, breathing new life into each piece. With professional experience in Ableton Live and Audacity, and certification in Pro Tools, Gloria combines her performance and tech background to add a fun, unique spin on well-known video game music.
When not performing live, Gloria records with groups like the Virtual Video Game Orchestra and Pixel Mixers. She has contributed to arrangements of video game music, including Tifa’s Theme from FINAL FANTASY VII and Confronting Myself from Celeste. Outside of recording, she recently completed her third year as the Percussion Liaison at the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute. There, she has aided some of the top educators in the country in supporting students in the arts. Additionally, Gloria has taken courses on MIDI Orchestration and Audio Recording at SUU.
Gloria is currently a member of the Oklahoma Chamber Symphony and continues to work in the Computer Science industry while completing her MMMT degree.
